Ingredients (4 servings):
• 300 g arborio rice
• 1 jar Sapori di Vera Royal Bolognese
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 750 ml vegetable stock, kept warm
• 50 g butter
• 40 g parmesan, grated
• Optional: a splash of red wine
Steps:
1. Heat olive oil in a large pan, sauté onion until soft.
2. Add arborio rice and toast for 2 minutes.
3. Gradually ladle in hot stock, stirring constantly until absorbed before adding more.
4. When rice is al dente (around 18 minutes), stir in Royal Bolognese sauce.
5. Finish with butter and parmesan for creaminess. Optional splash of red wine for depth.
Wine pairing:
• Chianti Classico — high acidity and cherry notes cut through the richness.
• Alternative: Barbera d’Alba — velvety, with subtle cocoa notes to echo the sauce.
